I would like to commission a Portrait Painting. How does it work?
Select a favorite wedding photograph to be painted By Renata Walczuk. If you are visiting the island of Maui, you can set up an appointment with the artist to meet with you at the most convenient location.
You can discuss the details of the Commission Work and sign the Agreement Contract. If you are not availale to meet personally, you can contact Renata and send her your favorite photograph.

What is the medium used by the Artist?
Renata has chosen the Watercolor medium to capture the brilliant light and colors of Hawaii. She feels strongly that this media compliments the extraordinary Art Photography of Weddings on the islands.
Renata uses only professional Watercolors that contain the finest ARTIST PIGMENTS which offer great transparency and luminosity.
The Art is painted on Museum quality Clayboard Textured Panel designed for this media

What are the prices and sizes of the Portraits?
There are four categories of Portraits:

  1. Single Close-up Portrait $ 800.00 16" x 20"
  2. A couple Close-up Portrait $1200.00 18" x 24"
  3. A couple Portrait with torso $1400.00 18" x 24"
  4. New! Your Wedding Bouquet $1000.00 18" x 24"

Can Custom orders be placed?
Yes. Details can be discussed with the Artist.

How much time is needed to complete the Portrait?
The Portraits are available from two to four weeks, which is subject to change during certain seasons.

How do I pay for the Portrait?
50% of the total price is paid with the agreement contract by personal or traveler's check. At the completion of the Portrait a digital image is sent via e-mail or traditional mail for Your approval. There are no layaways, terms or delays.
The final payment is due at this time. Now the Portrait can be delivered.

How is the Portrait shipped to me?
The Portrait will be shipped & insure via 2-Day Fed Ex. or Priority Service. The cost varies according to your zip code and you will be notified by phone. The Clayboard Panel on which Portrait is painted is easier to handle & ship by comparison to watercolor paper.

Is there tax on the Portraits?
There is no tax for shipping outside of Hawaii.

Tips from the Artist: It is recommended to frame your Portrait with matte behind the glass or acrylic panel with UV protection. All two-dimensional art should not be hung under direct sunlight for long periods of time.
